The mission of the Central Indiana Police Foundation (CIPF) is to foster community-wide support for law enforcement by supporting traumatically injured officers and their families, providing supplemental resources for officers in the line of duty, and building positive officer-community partnerships.
We support law enforcement when they can't support us!

Code One: Two of the words officers dread hearing most. Signifying that an officer needs assistance, police officers rush to do whatever is necessary to help their injured brother or sister in blue. 2017 was a tragic year in Central Indiana with the line of duty death of Officer Aaron Allan. Our Code One Fund was able to provide support to the family and was available to transfer community donations without fees to the family.
The Central Indiana Police Foundation is focused on the health and welfare of Central Indiana's police officers, their families, and the communities they serve. The Code One Fund provides a life-line to officers and their families who are impacted by traumatic injuries and illnesses.

Imagine you're driving down the street and are struck by a drunk driver. You're severely injured and you are now confined to a wheelchair.
***
Imagine you're confronted by a murder suspect. You know you're in danger, but you have a duty to perform. You're shot in the head and survive, but you can no longer serve.
***
You're a young police officer and you learn that your wife has an ascending aortic aneurysm while pregnant. She survives that only to confront breast cancer and mounting medical bills.
***
These are an all-too-common stories for police officers, often resulting in the end of a career they love. They become the person who needs help, rather than the one who is rendering help. With over 400 officers injured annually in the Indy area, in addition to those facing catastrophic health issues, the needs are great.
Please join us in supporting these heroic men and women in blue.

The Central Indiana Police Foundation welcomes inquiries from individuals interested in supporting the needs of Central Indiana law enforcement officers.
We are looking for teams to walk to support us in the Walking for Dreams Family and Pet Walk on Sunday, May 20th. How about putting together a team in honor or memory of a local officer or department?

Funding Needs
The Central Indiana Police Foundation needs ongoing funding to support its "Code One" (officer needs assistance) Fund, as well as support for K9, "InVest in Blue" (equipment) and "Behind the Line" (community-police engagement) funds. Because needs vary in size and frequency, gifts of all sizes are appreciated!
A trauma kit costs $100
The vest plates we provide cost $600
A trained K9 is $10,000
Medical needs for Code One vary widely and range from $500 to tens of thousands of dollars and the support is "priceless" in the eyes of our officers and their families.
